Once essential, now enigmatic.

These objects once gathered hands, stories, ritualsnow they linger, quiet and uncanny, their purposes faded, meanings unmoored.

What is useful? What is useless?Or does the useless become a portal?

In this exhibition, umum transforms the space into a boundary between the past and the unknown. Objects, once defined by a clear purpose, now rest in quiet ambiguity. Their origins are concealed, but within hint containers, some stories may unfold, leaving room for interpretation.

Ceramist Youyou Wang captures these whispers, translating them into hint containers that hold possibilities.

A special thanks to Slowdance for generously providing this beautiful space.

And our umum team who made it happen.
